NET ZERO CARBON REDUCTION PLAN TO 2050
1. Our Commitment
Bespoke Contract Services Ltd is committed to supporting the UK's transition to Net Zero by 2050.
As a small waste and specialist cleaning business, we recognise that our principal environmental impacts arise from vehicle fuel consumption, electricity, waste treatment, purchased materials, equipment and wider supply-chain activities.
Our objective is to progressively reduce these emissions while maintaining safe, reliable and cost-effective services for our Housing Association, public sector and commercial clients.
Our carbon accounting will follow the principles of the GHG Protocol, with Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions measured and reviewed annually.
2. Carbon Baseline – 2026
2026 will be established as our baseline year.
We will collect and record:
Scope 1
Scope 2
Scope 3
Where possible, actual activity data will be used. The latest UK Government greenhouse-gas conversion factors will be used for calculations and updated annually.
3. Reduction Targets
Year/Target

Establish verified internal carbon baseline
2030
Reduce emissions by 30% from 2026 baseline
2035
Reduce emissions by 50%

2045

4. Fleet and Transport
Our vehicle fleet is expected to represent one of our most significant direct emission sources.
We will:

We will encourage key suppliers to provide:
Where subcontractors are used, environmental performance will form part of our procurement and monitoring process.
9. Employees and Environmental Culture
Our workforce will be encouraged to contribute to carbon reduction.
Training and toolbox talks will cover:
We will encourage employees to identify practical opportunities to reduce emissions.
10. Monitoring and Reporting
Carbon performance will be reviewed annually by management.
We will monitor:
The results will be recorded in our Carbon Calculator and used to establish the following year's improvement actions.
11. Continuous Improvement
We recognise that achieving Net Zero cannot be achieved through a single initiative.
Our strategy therefore follows:
Measure → Reduce → Review → Improve → Repeat.
Technological developments will be reviewed regularly, particularly in relation to electric vehicles, alternative fuels, renewable energy, waste recovery and low-carbon cleaning products.
12. 2050 Net Zero Position
By 2050, Bespoke Contract Services Ltd aims to have eliminated or substantially reduced emissions from our own operations and supply chain.
Our priority will always be to reduce actual emissions first, rather than relying on carbon offsets. Where residual emissions cannot reasonably be eliminated using available technology, we will consider credible and appropriately verified measures in accordance with recognised standards and future UK guidance.
Management Commitment
Bespoke Contract Services Ltd's Senior Management Team will be responsible for overseeing this plan, reviewing progress annually and ensuring that Net Zero objectives remain integrated into business planning, procurement, fleet replacement and operational decision-making.
Our commitment is to deliver measurable carbon reduction while continuing to provide safe, reliable and high-quality waste and cleaning services to our clients and the communities we serve.
Bespoke Contract Services Ltd recognises the requirements and principles of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 – Transparency in Supply Chains.
Our current annual turnover is below the statutory £36 million threshold for organisations that are legally required to publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement under Section 54. We therefore understand that the statutory annual reporting requirement does not currently apply to our organisation.
However, we voluntarily maintain a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy and Statement and apply the principles of Section 54 throughout our business and supply chain.
Our approach includes:
Our Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by senior management and updated where necessary to reflect changes to our business, workforce, suppliers or identified risks.
Although we are not currently subject to the statutory Section 54 reporting threshold, we consider voluntary compliance with its principles to be an important part of responsible business practice and our commitment to ethical procurement and the protection of workers throughout our operations and supply chain.
